Essay

The thesis analyzes methodological approaches, theoretical framework, and basic concepts, historical-educational achievements as a scientific foundation for the methods of future doctors' professional applied physical training. It theoretically grounds a model of methods for professional applied physical training of students majoring in medicine and dentistry. The research substantiates the specific requirements to physical training of medical students majoring in dentistry, defines the structural and functional nature of the model of methods for professional applied physical training of students of higher medical educational institutions, and their scientific-methodological framework. The author has developed his own program and scientific-methodological support complex for the model of methods for professional applied physical training of medical students. He has experimentally verified the effectiveness of the proposed model in the educational system of medical universities and come up with recommendations as to the use of the scientific-methodological support complex. The development, substantiation and experimental approbation of the author's program of students' professional applied physical training in higher medical educational institutions, the introduction of new special exercises in future doctors' physical training, and the methodological recommendations as to putting the methods for professional applied physical training into practice at physical education departments of higher medical educational institutions constitute the practical significance of this research. The theoretical, technological and methodological results of the thesis can be used in developing physical education syllabi in higher medical educational institutions, in planning independent work in physical education for students in various medical majors, in providing further training of physical education teachers in higher educational institutions.
