The thesis is the first complex research of legal nature and types of compulsory medical measures in contemporary Ukrainian legal science. The thesis solves issues on legal and historical aspects, recited to compulsory medical measures, provides analysis of thesis formation, aimes and related approaches. Provided additional classification of individuals, suffering of mental illnesses and disorders as well as their characteristics. Substantiabecl a set of circumstances, resulting in aggievotecl social dangerousness of a person, suffering of mental illnesses or disorders. The thesis provides alternative approaches forwards solution of multiple actual issues, related to application of compulsory medical measures.
