Essay

The current thesis is dedicated to the investigation of rearrangements in inner chloroplast membrane system according to the different levels of membrane-bound bicarbonate under the influence of some abiotic stressors, namely, organic (acetazolamide, ethoxyzolamide) and inorganic (Cu2+ and Zn2+ ions) carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, simulated acid rain and elevated [CO2]. The results obtained indicate the structural role of carbonic anhydrase-dependent equilibrium of СО2/HCO3- in the dynamic changes in the chloroplast membrane system.
