Essay

A systematic study of historical defensive structures was carried out, aimed at determining the laws of their occurrence and the main factors of further formation.The picture of the formation of defense building history in this region was reconstructed. Also the scientific identification of 248 defense constructions, situated on the territory of Galician province, was made. In this research, work there was introduced the classification of valuable historic buildings, as a parts of defensive architecture situated in this region. We also established their degree of preservation and determined their value in the list of objects of cultural heritage.
