In the dissertation method of forming text-creative skills of secondary school students' in the process of learning syntax of a compound sentence is worked out, theoretically grounded and experimentally tested. Based on the analysis of linguistic, psychological, psycholinguistic and lingua-didactic literature theoretical grounds of the research are defined; students' text-creative skills which provide the process of text-creative activity are clarified. Criteria, indexes of forming students' text-creative skills are specified and their levels are characterized. Lingua-didactic model of forming text-creative skills of 5-9 forms school students' in the process of learning syntax of a compound sentence is worked out.
