Klyvniak B. The pharmacognostical study of puncture vine (Tribulus terrestris L.)

The thesis is devoted to the complex pharmacognostic study of herb threshed of fruits and fruits of puncture vine, obtaining a phytomedicine, working out the quality control methods for the medicinal plant material and the phytomedicine. The novelty of the work is in the following. The complex phytochemical study of biologically active compounds of puncture vine herb threshed of fruits and fruits was carried out for the first time. The main classes of biologically active compounds in the plant material, in particular, polysaccharides, amino acids, carboxylic acids, phenolic compounds, mineral elements and terpenoids, were studied. The thick extract was obtained from the chosen type of the plant material and its antibacterial and antifungal activity was determined. The projects of the quality control methods for the puncture vine herb threshed of fruits and the thick extract obtained were worked out. The results of the chemical and anatomical study were introduced into the scientific and research work and educational process of the related higher educational establishments of Ukraine.
