The research is dedicated to the problem of forming senior preschool children's aesthetic attitude to decorative and applied art in fine art classes. The development state of the problem of forming senior preschool children's aesthetic attitude to decorative and applied art in fine art classes has been analyzed. The peculiarities of senior preschool children's perception and understanding of decorative and applied art have been revealed and proved. The formation criteria and indicators of senior preschool children's aesthetic attitude towards decorative and applied art such as artistic-cognitive, emotional-appraisal, activity-creative have been substantiated and determined. The content characteristics of formation levels of senior preschool children's aesthetic attitude to decorative and applied art: high (value-aesthetic), sufficient (hedonistic), middle (compensatory) and low (utilitarian) have been presented. The organizational-methodical formation model of senior preschool children's aesthetic attitude to decorative and applied art in fine art classes has been worked out. The model has been developed in regard to theoretical and methodological regulations on formation peculiarities of senior preschool children's aesthetic attitude and the results of this pilot experiment; based on personality-oriented, activity-oriented, practical-oriented approaches; the principles of systemic character, subjectivity, interactivity; consists of a complex of interconnected structural elements, namely: purpose-oriented, informative, operational-activity and aimed at forming senior preschool children's aesthetic attitude to decorative and applied art in fine art classes. In the process of experimental work, effective methods of forming senior preschool children's aesthetic attitude towards decorative and applied art have been introduced into practice of the educational process of preschool institutions.
