A comprehensive study of general theoretical aspects of reasoning of the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights concerning the human right to respect for family life was carried out in the thesis. The correlation between concepts of legal position and legal argument is established. The specifics of the approaches used by the European Court of Human Rights to the interpretation of the concept of family life have been identified. The dynamics of the content and scope of the right to respect for family life are revealed, the means of formation and development of legal positions of the European Court of Human Rights regarding this right are described.7452
