The thesis is devoted to the research of penalties in the family law, their definitions and application peculiarities referring to certain family legal relationship participants who committed a violation of family rights and interests. Penalty in the family law is considered as a certain legal status of a participant in family legal relationships involving the enduring of the negative personal non-property, property or organizational consequences by the person who committed the family offense according to the jurisdictional body decision.
