Essay

Dissertation carried out a theoretical-applied study of the principle of publicity in the civil process. Analysis of historical and legal materials showed that the consideration of civil cases in the Ukrainian territories was public. However, already in the early years of Ukrainian statehood, there were cases of closed court proceedings that were associated with the church courts during the times of Kievan Rus.
