Sirenko O. Measures for control and prevention of chicken acariases

The dissertation presents the materials of the study of the epizootic situation regarding the distribution of ectoparasitic diseases of laying hens and the development of scientifically grounded measures to its control. There is a tendency to increase the infection of birds with acariases, namely the chicken mites D gallinae itself in the conditions of poultry complexes and farmyard poultry farms in different regions of Ukraine. The maximum invasiveness of laying hens by D. gallinae was noted in the spring-summer period. Based on the analysis of the current epizootological situation, as well as the Ukrainian market of veterinary medicines for poultry farming, the necessity of development of domestic acaricidal remedy has been grounded. The acaricidal efficacy of a number of insectoacaricidal agents was determined, among which lambda-cyhalothrin was the most effective and promising. The technology of Acarinocide-Zeon production has been developed, parameters of its acute and chronic toxicity have been studied, some indicators of toxicodynamics have been proved, and the effectiveness of its application in the inhibition of hens-bearers by D. gallinae in the production conditions has been proved. The scheme of improvement of poultry farms from ectoparasites of laying hens has been developed.
