The dissertation aims at the complex research of investment agreements with the participation of governmental and municipal authorities, including issues of their legal nature, ways of their conclusion and performance features, as well as the means of guaranteeing their proper fulfilment, the mechanisms of state support for activities under those agreements and the execution of the state control over those activities. The concept of the investment agreement of public character was defined and the features pertaining to the performance of the investment agreements with the participation of governmental and municipal authorities were analyzed in the research. Certain practical suggestions as to optimizing the legal regime of the investment agreements with the participation of governmental and municipal authorities were introduced.
