Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of family relationships as a factor in the development of EI teenagers. As a result of the theoretical analysis of the problem, it was found that changes in the cognitive and emotional spheres in adolescence stimulate the dynamics of the development of the EI, which occur under the influence of interpersonal interaction in the family in the process of personality development. Taking into account this, a program for studying EI in adolescents has been developed, an approach has been adapted to measure EI in a sample of Ukrainian adolescents; the norms of development of components of EI in adolescence are established. The relationship between the characteristics of family relationships and the manifestation of EI in adolescents is empirically investigated. It was found that respect for the child, its approval and acceptance positively influence the development of its ability to identify, understand and adequately express their emotional experiences, and, not only positive, but also negative. It was found that groups of adolescents with different levels of development of EI, have specific characteristics of family relationships. The features of family relationships, which function as favorable or unfavorable factors of the development of EI of adolescents, are determined.
