Objekt:the "Home Protocol" (1717-1767) of the general treasurer of Yakiv Markovych, in particular published notes until 1746 and handwritten books. Aim: to find out the artistic peculiarities and features of Yakiv Markovych's "Home Protocol", to determine his place and role in the literary process of the XVIII century, to study the content and subject matter of the diary, to discover the narrative features of the text.Methods: cultural-historical, biographical, narratological, textual, descriptive. Scientific novelty: for the first time in Ukrainian literary studies the plot modules of the "Home Protocol" of Yakiv Markovych have been considered; reseach of the genre of the diary has been carried out, his narrative features are described; the contribution of the author of the diary to the development of the historical-memoir prose of the first half of the XVIII century have been outlined.
