Zhkek A. Estimation of oil loss from leakage during transportation and development of measures for their reduction

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the regularities of the process of leakage of the transported product from the pipeline to the environment through emergency openings of various forms, taking into account the filtration resistance of the porous medium (soil) under the condition of the crossed profile of the route. The issues of improving the efficiency of the system of main oil pipelines, their ecological and technical safety, by developing a method for forecasting oil losses in the event of accidents, introducing measures to reduce and prevent cases of pipeline depressurization, introducing into the production process the system of leak detection, reducing oil losses and minimizing material and financial expenses for localization and liquidation of emergency situations. The method of forecasting and estimating losses of oil and oil products from pipelines as a result of emergency leakages has been developed, which has been tested on existing oil pipelines of the Druzhba system, the Dolyna-Drohobych oil pipeline and Zhulyn-Nadvirna oil pipeline.
