Essay

The research brought into focus the problem of improving future music teachers' piano training by means of developing their tempo and rhythmic performance skills. It presents the musical and pedagogical projection of the culture-study paradigm of the artistic creativity's tempo and space continuum on music pedagogy and performing. The sense of musical time is considered in the study as a professional quality, the specific ability of a musician to subtly feel the vibrations of the musical intonation, its pulsation, alternation of sounding and non-sounding, their speed and duration, in accordance with the artistic requirements of the tempo and the metro-rhythm of the work's musical text. Through the prism of ontological, artistic, epistemological, psychological and creative aspects of the time and space continuum of musical art, a component structure of the tempo and rhythmic performance skills and the methods of their developing in the process of teaching future musical art teachers playing the piano was constructed. The tempo and rhythmic performance skills of future musical art teachers are a complex set of individual performance resources of the interpreter and pianist (natural, creative, competency, technological), which provide temporal, rhythmic, metric parameters of the work performance in accordance with the objectives of the integral drama of its artistic image disclosure within the style, genre, composer's method. This set consists of the following components: individually sensual; thinking and operational; artistic and mental; performing and interpretative. Such skills are developed gradually on the basis of anthropological, acmeological, reflexive, systemic, complex, artistic and mental, textual, and hermeneutic approaches; multimodal methodology. The elaborated methods also present pedagogical principles developed on the basis of summarizing the pedagogical experience of pianist musicians. Pedagogical conditions and groups of methods that form future musical art teachers' tempo and rhythmic performance skills are presented.
