Essay

The relevance of the research topic is stipulated by insufficient scientific and methodological background for introducing individual form of education for children with severe forms of multiple developmental disabilities. The author systematizes the classification, basic concepts and terminology used in reference to different combinations of mental and physical disabilities, offering the most precise Ukrainian language name for multiple disabilities and its definition. The thesis provides detailed description of particular features in development of a child with combined visual, motor and intellectual disability. The author also defines major preconditions for effective implementation of the individual special educational support for children with multiple disabilities, which include organizational, diagnostic, didactic, corrective-developing and social-rehabilitation conditions. The organizational stages of the individual psychological and pedagogical support for this category of children was developed and described. The content of the propaedeutic training period according to three functional levelswas suggested. The preconditions for the organization of individual psychological and pedagogical support, its structure and their effectiveness were consequently tested and confirmed.
