Essay

Analysis of known methods of calculation of pressure pipeline-collector (PC) has been carried out. Possible methods of reduction of non-uniformity of fluid inflow into PC are outlined. Regularities of fluid inflow into pressure pipeline-collectors along the pipeline are experimentally investigated as functions of (1) the angle of inflow of the inflow jets into the main stream in PC, (2) transit flow rate of fluid at the input of PC, (3) Reynolds criterion. The value of empiric correction factor in the technique of calculation of pressure PCs has been précised; the technique being based on solving the generalized differential equation of variable flow rate fluid flow.
