Kovtunets O. Actualization of the vocabulary of the Ukrainian literary language at the end of the XX - the beginning of the XXI century.

This dissertation is the first attempt of a systematic analysis of the actualization of lexical-semantic units of the Ukrainian literary language at the end of the XX - the beginning of the XXI century. The importance of the investigated topic is due to the special attention of modern linguistics to the active processes in Ukrainian language, especially in its lexical system that are influenced by various extralinguistic factors. One of these processes is the vocabulary actualization. The goal of the proposed research is to ascertain the place and role of actualized vocabulary in the overall development of the Ukrainian language vocabulary, to determine its linguistic status, scope of use, nature of operation and features.
