Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the solution of the important psychodidactic problem - finding ways for optimization of learning a foreign language by future specialists, particularly - by psychologists, with the help of expressive psychotechnics means.Leading tendencies in the development of foreign language teaching methods at a modern stage are defined: a combination of methods requiring conscious, volitional efforts of students with the stimulation of a spontaneous interest in a foreign language material; strict algorithmization of educational actions with creative research into linguistic content; reproductive practice for sustainable learning typical grammatical structures with speech improvisation with actual communicative situations. It is noted that nonverbal expression designed to enhance the motivation for learning, to facilitate the reception of foreign language content, to cause significant sensory-motor memory images etc. perfectly fits the historical background of finding innovative technologies of learning a foreign language. In addition to purely didactic functions (motivational, mobilization, attractive, facilitative, stimulatory, synthesizing) pedagogically appropriate use of universally and culturally specific sign and symbolic codes of nonverbal expression in learning a foreign language by future psychologists forms foreign language communicative competence as a part of their professional competence providing them with appropriate competitiveness and mobility in a globalized labour market. The paper presents psychological and pedagogical foundation of expressive psychotechnics as a means of learning a foreign language including a set of kinesthetic (facial and postural) reactions, para- and extralinguistic, proxemic means of nonverbal teaching communication with the help of which facilitation of joint training and professional activity of students-psychologists is fulfilled; it is proved that nonverbal expression means optimize the process of their mastering of a foreign language and acquisition of professional communicative competence.
