Khvishchuk O. Structural and Semantic Analysis of the Novovolynsk (Volyn region) City Residents' Surnames.

In the dissertation the surnames of Novovolynsk as a territory of late and actual simultaneous settlements were investigated for the first time in the Ukrainian onomastics; new anthroponymic data has been introduced to the scientific circulation and analyzed; lexical-semantic classification of local surnames is offered; the role of various of onym and appellate vocabulary layers in their formation is revealed; the structural features of surname nominations and actual ways of their creation are described; the most popular word-building models of surnames are identified; the meanings and principles of the compatibility of word-building elements are described; the correlation between local anthroponyms and some socio-cultural constants has been reflected.
