Aim of the research is a complex study of the M. O. Kuzmin's early novels' fictional world as a result of not only comprehension and development processes in literary genres that had been formed before, but also his own strategies of genre creation. Scientific novelty of the achieved results is that the fictional problem in two works of M.O. Kuzmin's early prose are characterized and solved.
