Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the course and the substantiation of the approaches to treatment of the first-detected atrial fibrillation. It has been determined that the independent predictors of the development of fatal and severe non-fatal complications during the 6-month follow-up are heart failure III-IV functional class and presence of moderate or severe mitral insufficiency. According to the follow-up of 88 patients with first diagnosed atrial fibrillation episode completed with sinus rhythm restoration, independent predictors of arrhythmia recurrence were identified during 6 months of follow-up: CRP level 6 mg /l and higher and CHA2DS2-VASc score 2 points and more.
