Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the problem of increase of treatment effectiveness and development of prognosis' criteria of it's results at patients with the open trauma of eye involving the limb area by the improvement of primary surgical treatment (PST) with the use of autolimbal transplantation and essessment of prognostic factors, which determine its result. In the study process, the evaluation of prognostic cytokines values was conducted (IL-1 , TGF- 1 and VEGF) in determining the outcome of surgical treatment of patients with an open eye injury involving the limbal area. It has been established, that at the intraocular fluid level of TGF- 1 > 1670 PG/ml, the patient is at a high risk of failing treatment. This test is of a high specificity by 96,3% (95% CI 81,0% - 99,9%) but its sensitivity reaches only 55,5% (95% CІ 21,2% - 86,3%).The method of mathematical models construction was applied to identify the relationship of all cytokines with indicators of the treatment effectiveness. The outcome of treatment was predicted as a resulting attribute. The analysis of the model's coefficients implies that the risk of ineffective treatment increases with increasing indicators of IL-1 , TGF- 1, VEGF, and decreases when applying the original PST type compared to other techniques.
