The thesis is devoted to the development of complex individualized therapeutic tactics in patients with volumetric mediastinal formulations using videothoracoscopic interventions. The results of examination and treatment of 83 patients with volumetric mediastinal formations in which minimally invasive methods of treatment and histological verification were used. All patients underwent a comprehensive clinical and radiological study. Videotorakoskopy is a reliable tool for obtaining a histological material under direct visual control, and allows you to assess the degree of invasion of mediastinum formation and the prospects for its removal. Thoracoscopic removal of benign neoplasms and cysts of the mediastinum provides good immediate results and avoids more traumatic open accesses. Favorable postoperative course after videotorakoskopy allowed discharging patients from the hospital for 3-4 days after surgery. A few absolute contraindications, low number of intraoperative and postoperative complications, as well as early activation of patients after surgery characterize videotorakoskopy as a relatively safe and low-traumatic diagnostic and treatment method..
