Object: information and communication technologies of teaching chemistry in institutions of general secondary education; goal: to substantiate theoretical and methodical principles of using information and communication technologies as a tools of forming research competencies of senior pupils in the profile education of chemistry; methods: analysis, generalization, systematization of scientific methodological and psychological-pedagogical literature, modeling, pedagogical observation, questionnaires, analysis of teachers' experience, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics; novelty: the model of formation of research competencies of senior pupils in the profile education of chemistry by tools of information and communication technologies, the system, structure and content of research competences of senior pupils in the profile learning of chemistry; results: the methodology of using information and communication technologies as a tools of forming the research competencies of senior pupils in the profile training of chemistry, the program of the computer-oriented optional course "Fundamentals of quantitative chemical analysis" for the students of the 10 classes of profile schools, is localized in the Ukrainian language Virtual Chemistry Laboratory Virtual Lab, the module VlabEmbed of the Moodle system for the support of training chemical research; the branch – information and communication technologies in education
