In the dissertation the problem of formation of vocal hearing of the future teachers of music of Ukraine and China is investigated. The notion of "vocal hearing of the future music teacher" is specified, its content and specificity are revealed. The study theoretically developed the structure of the vocal hearing of future music teachers, the important components of which is the interrelation of the following components, namely: motivational-directed, competently-informative, creative-activity. A methodology for the formation of students' vocal hearing is suggested, which presupposes observance of three interrelated stages. The motivational and organizational stage is aimed at understanding students the importance of developed vocal hearing in the future professional activity, forming an attitude towards achieving success in vocal training. The developmental-effective stage is devoted to expanding students' awareness in matters of voice formation and sound perception, theoretical knowledge necessary for the conscious realization of vocal-auditory activity. At this stage it is recommended to introduce a lecture course, the task of which is to familiarize students with the specifics of the vocal-auditory activity of the music teacher. The reflexive and creative stage is subordinated to the formation of students' ability to self-control and self-analysis of vocal activity, the activation of creative manifestations of students during practical work on acquiring vocal-auditory skills and skills. The effectiveness of the methodology was revealed in the positive dynamics of levels of vocal hearing development of future teachers of musical art
