Zemlyachova O. The interaction between banks and insurance companies: background, tendencies, ways of development

The thesis has revealed the essential features of financial intermediation in the financial market and the market of financial services. Besides, its participants have been identified and characterized. The main ones are banks and insurance companies, which taking into account certain background, mainly of economic character, activate interaction processes. The scientific work has examined the tendencies of banks and insurance companies interaction development in Ukraine and abroad. It has identified main problems of such interaction in the national financial market. Within the research of the particular forms of the interaction between banking and insurance establishments, the thesis has singled out and gave characteristics of the main forms of such an interaction, main models, forms, strategies, directions and types of banks and insurance companies' integration. In the context of the research in the sphere of banking risks insurance while the interaction between banks and insurance companies, improved approach to the organization of such risks insurance has been offered provided that banks and insurance agents are interacting as either counter-agents or participants of banking and insurance integration. The analysis of banks and insurance companies integration processes in Ukraine has allowed to make the corresponding chronology of such processes that include five main stages. The ways to improve marketing provision, estimation of financial resistance and insurance of banking risks in the frames of the interaction between banks and insurance companies in Ukraine have been suggested.
