Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the development of resource saving technologies for the production of garments leather from sheepskin through the combined application of alternative mineral tanning agents and modern polymeric materials at the tanning stage, and also new fat-liquors during liquid finishing processes. The influence of polymeric materials on the basis of unsaturated carboxylic acids on the process of chrome and titanium tanning and properties of Wet-blue and Wet-white semi-finished has been experimentally determined. It has been established that due to its physical and chemical nature, polymeric materials are an able to interact with collagen and other reagents used to form bonds of different types, which increases the diffusion and binding of tanning compounds in the structure of the derma, and is manifested in accelerating the technological cycle, better absorption tanning compounds from solutions. Two technologies of mineral-polymeric tanning have been developed which are tested, that make it possible to obtain the high-quality leather goods at a more rational use of chemical materials, raw materials and energy resources.
