Tkachenko M. Methods and models of risk management of projects in the field of information technologies

The thesis is dedicated to development of conceptual provisions and corresponding models in IT project risk management which provide classifying risks based on the criteria of successfulness of project execution in terms of stakeholders, assessment of risks of schedule and budget overruns based on the buffer management method, controlled Markov chains and principles of the Scrum methodology as well as the use of knowledge management methods in risk management allowing for peculiarities of software development methodologies and an incremental way of execution of IT projects. The scheme of IT project risk identification allowing for risk sources, events, consequences and objectives was developed. The direction of the use of knowledge-based methods and models were defined to set effective communication between the IT project's stakeholders. The knowledge-based IT project risk management model with the use of a knowledge base and expert system was developed. By the means of the CLIPS environment, the software as an expert system for decision support in IT project risk management was developed.
