The thesis is concerned with the solution of the vital applied research task consisting in the research of the reliability for coal field development technology at the Ukrainian mines, as well as in the justification of the reliable mechanization methods for the coal faces located within the pre-set rational operation parameters. In order to assess the reliability of the operation process schemes, the data on the actual technical-and-economic indices of coal faces have been studied and compared to the parameters of areas which form the pre-set productivity level; this has made it possible to justify the reliable process schemes with the pre-set productivity parameters and to define the limits of effective operation of the coal face systems at the Donbass mines. Systematization of the given data enabled to develop the electronic directory for stoping equipment selection via automating the mechanization means selection process subject to the pre-set productivity level and extraction area parameters. The follow-up studies made an interconnection between the operation process parameters, operational parameters of stoping equipment, and technical and economic indices of stoping works; this has made it possible to define the control factors forming the reliability of the process schemes. In particular, it has been found that the reliable process scheme is formed by the face output amount over 1000 t/day, which changes polynominally depending on the seam thickness by 90% and length of place by 88%, as well as in direct proportion to the level of connection between complex mechanization means by 83-95% within the operation rational parameters.
