Bosyi I. The principles of formation and transformation of furniture objects in the discourse of art and design

The thesis offers an author's definition of the concept "furniture-transformer" and the classification of its types. The work is presenting three technological approaches to the creation of furniture-transformers and the factors of its formation and distribution in the XX c. It defines the basic principles of transformation of furniture-transformer; segmental rotation of individual elements of the form. The work depicts the principles of shaping the furniture-transformer. Thesis establishes the types of geometric shapes that are used in the design of furniture-transformer. Furthermore, it indicates the systems of constructive solutions, transformation levels and the degree of control of the transformation process.
