Essay

Based on the analysis of archival documents, published sources, Ukrainian and foreign historiography, memoirs, the press in the dissertation, a comprehensive study of the legal foundations and legal, socio-economic and cultural-national consequences of the policy of "siege" of the Second Rzeczpospolita in Western Ukraine in the 1920s - 1930s. It is justified that the Polish government purposefully carried out the policy of assimilation of the Ukrainian population in the West Ukrainian lands by violating a complex of fundamental human rights and the social and economic structure of the life of the region.
