The socio-economic significance of small business development is investigated. The essence and necessity of financial support of development of small business entities is substantiated. The directions of state and regional policy in the field of financial support of small business development in Ukraine are outlined. The analysis of the state and regional peculiarities of the development of small enterprises was carried out, the complex assessment of the development of small business and its financial support in the branches of economy were analyzed, credit support of the development of small business in Ukraine was analyzed.
