In the dissertation the monitoring of the content of the residual amount of organochlorine pesticides in seawater and mussels of the coastal zones of the Odessa region. The veterinary and sanitary evaluation of mussels under the conditions of the content of organochlorine pesticides in seawater of the natural population was monitored. Some mechanisms of pathological and cumulative action of organochlorine pesticides in the organism of the Black Sea mussels were experimentally studied. Proved the detoxifying effect of technological treatment on organochlorine pesticides in mussel tissues, the method of sampling was improved and a method for determining the content of organochlorine pesticides in the Black Sea mussels with the use of gas chromatography was modified.
