Vorona V. Special guidelines on sentencing certain categories of offenders

The dissertation is devoted to the development of scientifically substantiated approaches for improving the legal regulations of the special guidelines on sentencing оf certain categories of offenders. Basing on the comprehensive analysis of scientific literature, empirical materials and conducted research of judicial practice of imposition of punishment for certain categories of offenders, the definition to special guidelines on sentencing was given. The classification and types of special guidelines on sentencing were disclosed and among them special guidelines on sentencing certain categories of offenders are separately allocated and their doctrinal definition is developed. Current scientific approaches as well as the genesis of formation of special guidelines on sentencing have been analyzed. The possible ways of improvement of the special guidelines on sentencing certain categories of offenders in contemporary conditions were offered.
