This dissertation is devoted to the research of structural-semantic and cognitive-pragmatic parameters of English Customs documentation. The place and role of English Customs documents in business discourse are considered in this research. The business discourse arrangement in accordance with the type of documentation such as: diplomatic documents, business documents and military documents has been substantiated. English Customs documents have been proved to belong to the category of business documents. The availability of typical features of official-business texts (such as: accuracy, compression, functionality, informational content, targeting) in English Customs documents is determined. The process of English Customs documents creation was proved to be a multi-staged, «reverse» procedure. The typical phenomenon for the formation of such texts is a sequential change of roles of addressee and addresser. As a result, the communication model of English Customs document, presenting the main stages of its formation, was created and described. The further scientific research may be directed to the complex study of English Customs documentation in a diachronic perspective.
