Essay

Object of study – onychomycosis. The purpose is to increase the effectiveness of treatment of onychomycosis patients by identifying indications and developing methods of complex therapy with the stepwise, differentiated appointment of antimycotics, onycholic drugs and drugs that affect the growth rate and condition of the nail plate and improve the microcirculation. Methods: general clinical, microscopic, cultural, immunological, biochemical, instrumental, statistical. The dissertation is devoted to the development of methods of complex therapy of onychomycosis patients with phased, differentiated appointment of antimycotics, onycholic drugs and drugs that influence the growth rate, the state of nail plates and improve the microcirculation. The developed complex, differentiated, step-by-step method for treatment of onychomycosis patients has allowed to obtain high therapeutic efficacy with the normalization of lipid peroxidation, immune status, microcirculatory channel, reduction of toxic effects on the hepatobiliary system, increase in the growth rate of nail plates, which made it possible to abandon systemic antimycotics or to shorten the term of their appointment in case of defeat, respectively, nail plate of feet and brushes on (23,0 ± 2,2) and (16,0 ± 1,6) days. The main scientific and practical results of the dissertation work were introduced into the medical and diagnostic process of the MI "Zaporizhzhia Regional Skin and Venereal Clinical Dispensary of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council", MI "Regional Skin and Venereal Dispensary" of the Dnipropetrovsk, MI "Kamianske Municipal Polyclinics No. 6 of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council", Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Skin and Venereal Dispensary, MIHC Kharkiv Regional Clinical Skin and Venereal Dispensary No. 1, as well as in the educational process at the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases of Vinnytsia National Medical University named after M.I. Pyrogov of Ministry of Health of Ukraine, at the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases of the SE “Dnipropetrovsk Medical Academy of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine”, at the Department of Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology with the Course of Dermatovenereology and Aesthetic Medicine of the Postgraduate Education Faculty of the Zaporizhzhia State Medical University of Ministry of Health of Ukraine, at the Department of Dermatology, Venereology and AIDS of the Kharkiv National Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
