The method of estimating the budget potential of local finance has been offered. Diagnostics of the state of formation of the budget potential of local finances of Rivne region has been conducted. The world experience in forming the budgetary potential of local finance has been researched. The priority directions of improvement of formation and use of budget potential of local finances have been determined. The method of determining the capacity of the budget potential of local finances to ensure socio-economic growth of the region has been offered. The forecasting of the volume of budget potential, depending on its components, has been carried out using economic-statistical models.
