Korniichuk A.A. Productive capacity strategic diagnostics of baking enterprises. – Manuscript. The thesis for the degree of candidate of economic sciences, specialty 08.00.04 – Economics and Management of Enterprises (by types of economic activity). National University of Food Technologies, Kyiv, 2018. The thesis is devoted to the theoretical substantiation of the methodical approach to the strategic diagnostics of productive capacity of baking industry enterprises. In this paper the essence of the concepts of "diagnostics", "financial diagnostics", "economic diagnostics", "strategic diagnostics" is specified and their relationships are found. The categories of the strategic management theory are developed. The term "strategic diagnostics of production potential of the enterprise" is concretized as a process of purposeful study of the structural elements of the production capacity in order to determine the effectiveness of their use, the opportunities to achieve strategic goals, and to form (adjust) the future development benchmarks. The stages of conducting the production potential strategic diagnostics of the enterprise are singled out in the thesis. The system of indicators of productive capacity strategic diagnostics of the enterprise is formed, which makes it possible to explore the components of the production capacity. Using the proposed system of indicators and forming the integral index of strategic relevance of production capacity on its basis ensure the determination of correspondence of the production potential to the core business strategies, namely sustainable growth strategy, adaptive strategy, reorganization strategy. The indicators for ongoing diagnostics of the production capacity of baking branch enterprises are determined. These indicators form a relationship with the production potential strategic diagnostics and provide ongoing monitoring of the basic strategy implementation. The comparison of the summary indicator of the ongoing compliance of production capacity of baking industry enterprises with the operations profitability index based on the matrix approach implements the process of choosing the functional strategy of productive capacity development, namely the strategy of limited use of production capacity, the strategy of efficient use of the available production capacity, the strategy of market expansion, the strategy of production potential development in accordance with scientific and technological progress. The indicators of the productive capacity strategic relevance of the surveyed baking industry enterprises are singled out. It is found that the control of their formation and the development of the measures to increase profitability of operational activity enhance the efficiency of production potential usage. The strategic prospects of the development of baking industry enterprises taking into account the peculiarities of their functioning are grounded. The application of the production potential strategic diagnostics of the enterprise aims to provide effective formation and utilization of productive capacities for achieving the economic agent's strategic development benchmarks.
