Essay

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of pathophysiological mechanisms of development of delayed spontaneous seizure in the conditions of the pilocarpine induced chronic model of epileptic activity in rats, as well as assessing the dynamics of behavioral changes in animals for the development of prognostic criteria for the development of spontaneous convulsions. A direct dependence of the rate of spontaneous seizure development on the duration of acute pilocarpine-induced seizures was detected. In most rats, the ventral hippocampus is the first brain formation in which activity increases when spontaneously initiated by the seizure. An antiepileptic effect in the conditions of pilocarpine-induced spontaneous seizures is given to diazepam, phenobarbital and valproic acid. The spontaneous development of the court is preceded by the reduction of spontaneous motor activity and research behavior, enhancement of the severity of emotional behavior, as well as cognitive dysfunction. The obtained data are promising for the development of pathogenetically valid methods of treatment of chronic forms of epilepsy, characterized by the development of spontaneous convulsions.
