Revutska I. Legal grounds for creating a family under the legislation of Ukraine and EU member states: comparative legal characteristic.

The thesis is the first in the national science of civil law special comprehensive study of the legal basis for the creation of a family. The state of scientific development of the legal basis for the creation of the family was studied, the process of formation and development of regulation of the legal grounds for the creation of a family in the legislation of Ukraine and legislation of the EU member states was researched. The general description of the concept of a family is carried out. The legal grounds for creating a family are considered, the concept of legal grounds for creating a family and their classification are proposed. Particular attention is paid to such legal grounds for the creation of a family as marriage, registered partnership and actual marriage relations. The scientifically grounded proposals for amending the legislation of Ukraine in order to improve it are formulated.
