Essay

The dissertation is devoted to increasing the treatment effectiveness of patients with persistent non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AF) based on the detection of risk factors for arrhythmia recurrence after sinus rhythm restoration by electric cardioversion (ECV) with 6-month follow-up. 141 patients with persistent non-valvular atrial fibrillation were examined. Anamnestic, clinical and echocardiographic risk factors for arrhythmia recurrence in 6 months after electrical cardioversion were determined. It was determined, that presence of multiple comorbid diseases in one patient was associated with higher risk of AF recurrence in 6 months after ECV. It was found that changes of structural and functional state of the myocardium for 1 month after electrical cardioversion influenced the development of arrhythmia recurrence in the future. Multi-factor scoring-models of individual prediction of sinus rhythm retention were created. Models help to identify patients at high risk of arrhythmia recurrence at the time of ECV and 1 month after ECV.
