Gugosyan Y. Strongyloidiasis of horses (spreading, diagnostics, control measures)

The dissertation summarizes the results of the study of spreading, diagnostics, control measures and prevention of strongyloidiasis of horses at the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The dependence of the intensity and extensiveness indicators strongyloidiasis invasion of age, season and type of animal keeping was determined. The composition of associated invasions by the co-members of the Strongyloides was defined. The level of contamination of objects of the environment by larval stages of Strongyloides westeri has been established. The clinical course of strongyloidiasis with different intensity of invasion and the effect of helminthes on parameters of blood were investigated. Microbial composition of rhabditiform and filariaform larvae of Strongyloides westeri have been determined. The method of counting larvae of Strongyloides with the use of a special counting grid, as well as the method of lifetime helmintholarvascopy with the use of a larvascopic cone device, exceeding the efficiency of methods Orlov and Baermann. Tested modern anthelmintic made in Ukraine with different active substances. Highest (100 %) therapeutic efficacy of Helmisun and Brovermectin gel drugs has been established. The results of hematological indicators indicate the positive effect of the horses deworming.
