Shapochka S. Preventing the cyber-fraud

The thesis considers the peculiarities and basic directions of preventing the cyber-fraud. There are ascertained in the study the historical and social premises for the cyber-fraud emerging, the notion of «cyber-fraud» is given; the criminological characteristics of this notion are given. The author presents his own cyber-frauds classification; the determinants of this offence and its latency degree are presented. The cyber-fraud criminal persons are classified. There are ascertained in the study the basic and special cyber-fraud preventing efforts, the basic problems which block preventing this crime are shown. The author also studied how to implant the foreign experience of cyber-fraud preventing in Ukraine, and proposed how to improve Ukrainian cyber-fraud preventing legislation.
