Essay

The dissertation for obtaining a scientific degree of candidate of technical sciences, specialty 05.22.07 - Railway rolling stock and train traction. - The East-Ukrainian national University named after Volodymyr Dahl, Severodonetsk, 2018. The dissertation is devoted to the actual issue of increasing the efficiency of the braking system by reducing energy consumption on self-ventilation of brake discs, thermomechanical control of friction units at the local cooling of the coupled surfaces, which ensures stabilization of the maximum coupling coefficient. The concept of adaptive control of energy consumption for the self-ventilation of the brake disk on an improved mathematical model, which takes into account the geometric parameters of air trains, is developed. Dependence of power management on self-ventilation in different modes of movement has been obtained. Mathematical model of thermophysical characteristics of frictional contact taking into account the forced supply of air and its temperature to stabilize the coefficient of friction has been improved. The mathematical model of air supply in the braking friction contact, taking into account the productivity and geometry of the holes in the overlays, which provides the possibility of developing effective design solutions, has been developed.
