Essay

Thesis is devoted to the complex pharmacognostic investigation of Ukrainian species of Betonica L. genus, namely Betonica peraucta Klokov and Betonica brachydonta Klokov. The quantitative content of the main groups of BAS in stems, leaves, flowers and herb of Betonica L. genus species was determined. The acute toxicity, sedative, antiexudative and antibacterial actiones of the obtained extracts were studied and it was found that the most pronounced antiexudative and sedative activity showed the water extract of Betonica peraucta herb.
