Alyokhina T. Toxicological assessment of desloratadine with substantiation and development of hygienic regulations for permissible content in the air of the working zone and water of open water reservoirs.

In this work toxicological, hygienic, biochemical, histological, immunological, cytological, physico-chemical studies of the drug substance desloratadine were carried out. Based on the conversations of the results of the studies, the permissible content in the air of the working zone, water reservoirs and the set of preventive measures designed to improve working conditions and protect the environment during the use of the substance desloratadine in the production of antihistamines of the third generation has been developed and scientifically justified. The degree of toxicity of desloratadine during oral and inhalation routes of intake of laboratory animals in acute and subacute experiments was established. The resorptive-toxic and local-irritating effect was studied when applied to the skin and mucous membranes, cumulative and allergenic properties, the potential and real danger of developing long-term effects of exposure. The toxic properties of the drug on sperm bulls were investigated. A hygienic assessment of working conditions in the manufacture of a drug based on the drug substance desloratadine with the determination of concentrations in the air of working zone was carried out, and the effect on the organoleptic properties of water and the sanitary regime of water bodies was studied.
