Object of investigation: primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). Aim of this study was to improve the efficiency of treatment of patients with primary open angle glaucoma with compensated IOP on the basis of studying the functional activity of the visual analyzer including in the complex of medical measures combined method (phosphenelectrostimulation and photomyostimulation). Methods: visometry, biomicroscopy, ophthalmoscopy, tonometry, gonioscopy, tonography, optical coherence tomography, static computer perimetry, kinetic perimetry, determination of the threshold of electrical sensitivity and lability of phosphene, determination of the functional mobility of the oculomotor system was carried out on the device "Photomiostimulator ophthalmological – 1", Statistical and graphical with the use of Statistica 9 by Stat Soft. Expanded scientific data about the peculiarities of the functional mobility of the oculomotor system in patients with second-stage POAG based on the assessment of the presentation of the test object in monocular mode, confirm a reduction in the perception of the frequency displacement pulse (FDP) in the horizontal and vertical direction in comparison with the norm to 2.25 Hz (0.33 Hz (12.8 percent)), at the time, as in the chaotic presentation the reduction has amounted to 0.29 Hz (12.4 percent) the absolute rate frequency displacement of pulse of 2.05 Hz. Augmented data of violations of functional mobility of the oculomotor system in patients with the third stage of POAG by the nature of the response to the frequency of movement of the test object in monocular mode, confirm a reduction in the perception of the FDP in the horizontal and vertical directions compared to the norm to 1.75 Hz (0.8 Hz (30,8%)) at the same time, as in the chaotic presentation of the degree of reduction was 0.67 Hz (29,1 %), reaching a level of 1.63 Hz. Updated information on the decline in functional mobility of the oculomotor system in patients with POAG progression of the glaucomatous process in patients with POAG third stage in response to the FDP on the test object in monocular mode, is lowered in the horizontal and vertical directions compared with the second stage of POAG 0.47 Hz (20,7%), in the chaotic presentation reduced at 0.42 Hz (20,5 %). Expanded scientific data on the functional lability of the visual analyzer in patients of POAG, in the second stage of the disease functional lability from the norm does not differ, in the third stage is considerably decrease in compare to the norm. Developed a combined method of treatment (phosphenelectrostimulation and photomyostimulation) in patients with POAG second and third stage, which improves functional mobility of oculomotor system, lability of the visual analyzer, the hydrodynamics of the eye, the sensitivity of the retina, and expands the field of vision. Implementation into practice. The main data of the work are introduced into clinical practice of SI "Institute of eye diseases and tissue therapy named by V. P. Filatov of NAMS of Ukraine" and the clinic of ophthalmology of the Military medical clinical centre of southern region, Odessa.
