Essay

The dissertation summarizes the results of the reseach on the spreading of turkey eimeriosis on the farms of Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions. The species composition of the turkey pathogens, which is represented by Eimeria meleagrimitis, E. adenoeides, E. dispersa, E. gallopavonis, E. innocua, was determined. The dependence of the invasion extensity and its intensity on the season of the year and the turkey age was established. It was found that the maximum rates of invasion were registered in the turkey poults up to 1 month with peak in spring and autumn. There were registered pathological changes that are characterized by the damage to the digestive system and, in particular, are manifested by catarrhal hemorrhagic duodenitis and tuflitis. During the acute course of turkey eimeriosis, in the micronucleus test, a large number of erythrocytes (red blood cells) with small micronuclei were detected in their blood. The experimental infecting revealed the effect of the medicine Robencox on the morphological, biochemical and immunological indices of the turkey blood. There were noticed changes in hematological indices and in the turkeys’ immunogenesis during their experimental infecting and the use of Avesstym. The acute toxicity of Robencox has been determined and its therapeutic efficiency has been researched and experimentally substantiated.
